Directions

Always test in an inconspicuous area to determine that the desired results will be achieved. If applying over a previously sealed or coated surface, test to ensure good adhesion. Surface must be thoroughly clean and dry before application. Lacquer should not be applied to a wet or moist surface or where there may be moisture intrusion from below the surface. Application to a dirty or dusty surface will affect adhesion. Not intended for use on dense, glazed, polished, or non-absorbent surfaces.

 

1. Use KlenzAll™ Heavy Duty Stone and Tile Cleaner or Restore™ Restoration Cleaner for Ceramic Tile and Grout as needed to thoroughly clean surface. To remove previously applied lacquers and coatings, use Heavy Duty Coating Stripper for Stone, Tile and Masonry.
2. Allow newly cleaned surface to completely dry prior to applying lacquer.
3. Fresh concrete requires a minimum of 28 days to cure before applying lacquer.
4. Avoid using in direct sunlight. Apply in air temperatures between 55ºF - 80ºF and on a cool, dry surface.
5. Apply 2-4 even coats with a chemical-resistant natural bristle brush, roller or low-pressure sprayer. Failure to apply a sufficient amount of lacquer to the surface may result in chipping or degradation of the coating. More coats may be applied if desired. Formulated to be used without thinning.
6. Allow 1-3 hours between coats or until surface is dry to the touch.
7. After application, do not walk on surface until lacquer is completely cured. Lacquer will cure in 24 - 48 hours.
8. Clean up equipment with water.

Coverage and Expected Wear

Depending on porosity of the surface, method of application and desired thickness of coating –
Coverage: approximately 100 - 600 sq. ft. per gallon.

Caution

May cause eye and skin irritation. Finished surfaces may be slippery when wet.
