Polishing & Staining
Polished concrete is a multi-step mechanical grinding and polishing process that transforms standard concrete into a sleek, durable surface. As finer diamond abrasives are used, the surface becomes smoother and more reflective—ranging from a soft matte finish to a high-gloss, glass-like shine, depending on your desired look.
In addition to its aesthetic appeal, polishing also tightens the surface by reducing the concrete’s pore size, which significantly cuts down on dust production. Densifiers and sealers are applied during the process to harden the concrete and protect the finish.
Two main types of stains:
Acid-based chemical stains:
for a rich, variegated, earth-toned look.
Water-based acrylic stains:
for vibrant colors and consistent tones.
For added customization, concrete floors can be stained to achieve unique visual effects. Staining offers a cost-effective way to dramatically transform a space without a full renovation.
